DACH
In the DACH program, the Fonds Darstellende Künste expanded its comprehensive support measures to stabilize the independent performing arts in times of crisis. The program’s objective was to create a perspective for protagonists in the performing arts who shifted or had to shift their residence and work headquarters from Ukraine to Germany as a result of the war and refugee movements, to stabilize their artistic activity over the course of many months and thus continue to enable professional work. DACH focused on the connection between artists and production venues. By supporting open-ended artistic work in connection with or in a residency at one of the approximately 40 production houses of dance and theater that have organized in the three federal networks Bündnis internationaler Produktionshäuser, Netzwerk Freier Theater and flausen+bundesnetzwerk, DACH is linked to the Fonds’ previous grant-based residency programs in an adapted form. The Fonds Darstellende Künste had a turnover of approximately 1 million EUR in the context of the program.
Supported by the Federal Government Commissioner for Culture and the Media (BKM) in the context of the Ukraine assistance measures.
