Planning, applying for, and implementing cultural projects for young people in a discrimination-sensitive manner | #5 Diversity as an opportunity – empowerment in cultural education
04 December 2025, 10:00 AM - 02:00 PM
The series of nine workshops focuses on various aspects of discrimination-sensitive project design and provides practical tips for concrete implementation. The fifth event in the series deals with the topic:
“Diversity as an opportunity – empowerment in cultural education”
The target group for projects under “Culture Makes Strong” / “Together Digital! Creative with Media” are children and young people with limited access to education. The reasons for this are as varied as the participants' backgrounds. At the same time, it is important to recognize and take into account the opportunities offered by these diverse backgrounds, life experiences, and knowledge of young people and to anchor them in the project design. Only if we move away from a deficit-oriented approach will young people have the chance to emerge from the program positively and empowered. What requirements does the institution need to meet, and what attitudes and skills do the responsible professionals need?
