Planning, applying for, and implementing cultural projects for young people in a discrimination-sensitive manner | #9 Raising awareness of queer realities

02 March 2026, 02:00 PM - 05:00 PM

The series of nine workshops focuses on various aspects of discrimination-sensitive project design and provides practical tips for concrete implementation. The ninth event in the series deals with the topic:

“Raising awareness of queer realities”

How can cultural projects be designed to include, empower, and protect queer children and young people?

The workshop is aimed at professionals in cultural education who want to develop their work in a discrimination-sensitive way. We provide an introduction to the basics of queerness and show how cultural education programs can be designed in a queer-sensitive way. Together, we will ask: What queer projects already exist in cultural education, what options for action do I have in my environment, and how can safer spaces be created? No prior knowledge is required—what is important is a willingness to reflect on one's own position. Participants are welcome to submit specific questions when registering, which we will address together in the workshop.
