Ada Mukhína

Ada Mukhína is theater director, author, performer and a senior artist of SWITCHCRAFT WERK, which produces art that shifts energy. Her political, investigative and participatory performances, like "How to Sell Yourself to the West", "Risk Lab", "Exile Promenade", were presented in Germany - among others at the Haus der Berliner Festspiele, Deutsches Theater Berlin, Staatstheater Mainz, Theater RAMPE in Stuttgart, Deutschlandfunk - and in France, the Netherlands, the USA, Bulgaria, South Africa and the UK. After completing her law degree, she earned an MA in Advanced Theatre Practice from Royal Central School of Speech and Drama, University of London. She was awarded fellowships from the Academy of Arts in Berlin, Institut français x Cite internationale des arts in Paris and Laboratory for Global Performance and Politics in Washington, D.C. Currently she is pursuing a PhD in Artistic research titled “Energy. Burnout Artist in a World on Fire” at the Institute for Open Arts, Mozarteum University Salzburg. Her newest lecture-performance SWITCH about global energy politics and sexual power games was just presented at the Zschornewitz power station as part of the festival OSTEN.
