Regine Dura studied theater, film, and media studies, modern German literature, and art education in Frankfurt am Main, as well as video in Berlin. After working in the film and production industries in Berlin and London, she worked in film (including for the European Film Academy, Wim Wenders Production, and Darlow Smithson Productions), radio (including ZDF/Arte, WDR, and SWR), and documentary theater. Her documentary film *Weißes Blut* was nominated for the Max Ophüls Prize in 2011. Together with Hans-Werner Kroesinger, she forms the artistic duo dura&kroesinger. Her works have been invited to international festivals, have won numerous awards, and have taken her to Germany and abroad as a workshop leader and lecturer. She is a member of the German Academy of Performing Arts.

Hans-Werner Kroesinger (born in Bonn in 1962) studied applied theater studies in Giessen from 1983 to 1988 under Andrzej Wirth and Hans-Thies Lehmann. He lives in Berlin and has been working since 1993 at municipal and state theaters (including the Berliner Ensemble, Staatstheater Stuttgart, and Schauspiel Leipzig) as well as in the independent theater scene. Since 2000, he has maintained a regular artistic collaboration with Regine Dura. Their works have been invited to national and international festivals such as Impulse, De Internationale Keuze (Rotterdam), Bitef (Belgrade), MESS (Sarajevo), Steirischer Herbst, and the Berlin Theater Festival in China. In 2007, he received the Brothers Grimm Prize from the State of Berlin. Kroesinger is a member of the German Academy of Performing Arts and has worked as a lecturer and workshop leader both in Germany and abroad.
