Mona el Gammal

Since 2006, scenographer Mona el Gammal has been developing immersive narrative spaces - parallel worlds that transform visitors into protagonists of future scenarios. Drawing on themes ranging from dystopias (HAUS//NUMMER/NULL) to resistance (RHIZOMAT) and concrete utopias (TRANSIT), she artistically explores social transformation and new spaces for action and possibility.

She has collaborated with La Fura dels Baus, the Berliner Festspiele, ARTE, Futurium, and served on the artistic steering committee for SIGNA, among others. Her works have received awards and been presented internationally.

Since 2022, she has been helping to shape the Reallabor Kulturquartier Altes Postgelände in Strausberg. There, in 2025, she opened the Narrative Library SPEICHER - a public library and essential collection of solutions to pressing social issues.
