After Hope

After Hope is inspired by what was once the largest shipyard in the Soviet Union. In 1973, the shipyard built the cargo ship Universal Hope. Fifty-one years later, the Universal Hope's status is 'decommissioned or lost'. Through performance and music After Hope playfully echoes the war-torn Ukrainian port city of Kherson and explores ways to re-imagine the world after hope as a world after war.
