The Beef Curtain

Termine

Varieté was never merely entertainment. Long before it meant glitter and nostalgic spectacle, it emerged in the cafés-concerts and music halls of nineteenth-century Paris, Berlin, and Vienna, growing out of working-class venues rather than respectable institutions. THE BEEF CURTAIN is Peaches' and Ellison Glenn's love letter to varieté as a space of excess, queer empowerment and artistic resistance, joined by drag artists, musicians, performers and comedians on stage.
