"NEXT STEPS" will take place from 20 to 22 September in Hamburg and online on 4 October as a hybrid bar camp with the participation of audio walk producers from all over Germany.

During the bar camp, the participating artists will contribute topics in input sessions, and they will then take them further within the group. Topics include the integration of live data, interactive storytelling, participatory practices, embodiment, gamification, visibility and audience development.

The exchange in Hamburg will also take the form of intensive 1-to-1 encounters between the artists, who will go on walks together to discuss their practices, challenges and solutions. These talks will be recorded and published as a podcast afterward.

The broader question addressed by "NEXT STEPS" is: How can they create a transfer of knowledge between the various artists so that the format innovations, strategies and synergies developed in individual local projects are accessible and transferable? In short: How can they sustainably develop the audio walk format further, and what is needed to do so? The aim is not only to exchange ideas, but also to think about how the audio walk community can network and support each other in the future.
