Member associations
The general assembly is the highest body of the Fonds, which decides on the statutes, the direction of funding policy, development of special projects and cultural policy initiatives. The broad basis for safeguarding the interests of the performing arts is ensured by the wide spectrum of the 17 member associations. They support the Verein Fonds Darstellende Künste e.V. A board is elected from among them, which currently consists of the chairman Professor Wolfgang Schneider (ASSITEJ Bundesrepublik Deutschland e.V.), Ilka Schmalbauch (Deutscher Bühnenverein), and Ute Kahmann (Verband Deutscher Puppentheater e.V.).
