THEATER im Ländlichen Raum: Macht Bock?

What do people think about us who don't come to our theater? What do they need from us in order to experience theater together with us?

The lab invites artists of independent performing arts to work together with existing and potential audiences on the future of theater in rural areas, considering the experience of the Corona Pandemic. Pinned on the Theaternatur Festival in Benneckenstein/Harz, the event will focus on developing a real relationship with the local audience instead of just thinking internally about audience acquisition and retention. So the first step will be to talk to local people to develop an idea of what is really important to them and if there are specific needs and connecting issues. Building on this, in a co-creative way with the help of the g3 method the lab will develop practice-oriented formats, by which the artists can contribute with their skills to a forward-looking approach to the local situation.
