You have to think of civilizations as ecosystems.

"I remember how, at the beginning of the first Covid-19 lockdown in early 2020, I half-jokingly told friends that the psychological impact of the pandemic would probably only be measurable much later." – A good three years, several lockdowns and a severe obsessive-compulsive disorder that developed during this time later, the artist lab "ZWANGSMASSNAHMEN" is an attempt to take stock of this psychological impact on the artist-audience feedback loop, but also on society at large.

Its leitmotifs are the questions of which audience artistic production takes place for, which dispositif the theater offers for this purpose, and what effects such considerations have on the artistic process in itself.

In order to be able to understand these connections as comprehensively as possible, "ZWANGSMASSNAHMEN" examines them from multiple angles in the form of the four fragments: virus, hygiene, collective and work. A seminar weekend will be dedicated to each of these fragments as part of the artist lab.
