Participation, process orientation, durability, transdisciplinarity – the principles of participation-oriented artistic practice are in constant development. Theater as a social art is also practiced by many who were once called audiences. This Metalab looks equally at rural and urban contexts, listens and asks: How does art change when it takes place in specific communities? What can and should artists take responsibility for? What alliances with other professions can help to handle challenges? How does one transfer what one has learned to working practice?
