Strategien und Positionen gegen rechte Backlashs

Part 1 with: Enrico Casagrande & Daniela Nicoló (Motus), Gin Müller
Part 2 with: Anica Happich, Steffen Klewar, Hamid Mohseni, Marietheres Jesse, Frauke Wetzel, Anne Schneider (moderator).

Part 1 - Speeches: Perspectives from a Europe of right-wing backlashes

In Germany, no state government includes right-wing extremists. In other countries, artists have long learned to work under governments controlled by right-wing populist or extreme-right parties. How does this work and how can we help artists in Germany to prepare themselves? We ask the independent nomadic performance collective Motus from Rimini, Italy, for an assessment. Gin Müller (Vienna) will report on right-wing populist developments in the pioneering country of Austria, right-wing identity politics and artistic activist intervention possibilities against the right.

Part 2 -: Panel discussion: Safe future? Association and festival work in times of political uncertainty

What planning steps do we need to take now to make the artistic-cultural work of associations and festivals future-proof, even in times of political uncertainty? Which best practice examples from both organizational development and artistic research and practice can help with future-proof planning? How do we make ourselves "bulletproof" even across regions against the increased interventions from the right into the cultural landscape?
