Over the past 10 years, the Queereeoké collective has succeeded not only in building a huge fan base, but also in reconnecting audiences with art and with themselves. The artistic practice at the heart of the project is, simply put, care work. But the secret to the format's success lies not only in karaoke, spontaneous choreography, provocative performances, subversive humor and celebrating the slowly disintegrating queer club culture, but also in overcoming the binary between audience and performers – a queer practice that touches people on a deep level. That's why the Queereeoké artists are thrilled to present their show – one of the biggest crowd-pleasers over the last 10 years at Kampnagel – at this year's B.A.L.L. "Breaking the binary" is the theme of the evening, so allow yourself to "unlearn everything", to quote Scout Wölfli's latest mantra, and come as ambiguous, fluid and unpredictable as you can be. Aaaaand ... it's a queer party, so make it FASHION!
