    On September 25 and 26, around 200 representatives from the independent performing arts, civil society, politics, and administration will gather at HAU Hebbel am Ufer in Berlin to develop perspectives for the future of the independent performing arts under the current, rapidly changing social conditions.

    Am 25. und 26. September kommen rund 200 Vertreter*innen der Freien Darstellenden Künste, Zivilgesellschaft, Politik und Verwaltung am HAU Hebbel am Ufer in Berlin zusammen, um unter den aktuell stark veränderten gesellschaftlichen Rahmenbedingungen gemeinsam Perspektiven für die Zukunft der Freien Darstellenden Künste zu entwickeln.   • The Art of Staying Many - Nationwide Forums for Art, Freedom and Democracy

    On May 21 and 22, 2025, the Fonds was a guest in the European Capital of Culture Chemnitz and invited to a panel discussion with Philipp Ruch, Sasha Marianna Salzmann and Simon Strauß as well as a film screening of “DIE KUNST, VIELE ZUBLEIBEN”. See

    The Fonds Darstellende Künste not only supports projects, but is also a service and consulting partner for independent artists, collectives and institutions. The office advises interested parties and artists on aspects of the application process as well as on structural and organizational issues beyond the scope of its own funding programs.

    For over 30 years, the Fonds Darstellende Künste has been one of the six federal cultural promotion funds supporting the art and cultural landscape of the Federal Republic of Germany, with a special focus on promoting the independent performing arts.
