    Theaterpreis des Bundes: Award winners have been selected

    With the 5th Theaterpreis des Bundes, Claudia Roth, Minister of State for Culture and Media, honors medium-sized and smaller theater companies, also outside the metropolises. The award ceremony will take place on October 11, 2023 at the Berliner Festspiele. Ballhaus Naunynstraße, Theaterhaus Jena, Chamäleon Theater and LOFT - DAS THEATER will be honored.

    B.A.L.L. & Bundesweite Artist Labs 2023

    Artists from all genres and disciplines dealt with questions of audience acquisition and retention in 64 self-directed lab formats. At the second Bundesweite Artist Labor der Labore - B.A.L.L. for short - on October 20 and 21, 2023 at Kampnagel in Hamburg, joint research was taken to the next level.

    150 Kulturinstitutionen sind erstunterzeichnende Mit-Initiator*innen der Kampagne „Shield & Shine“ der VIELEN. Darunter auch der Fonds. DIE VIELEN rufen dazu auf mit Diskussionen und Demonstrationen verstärkt für eine plurale, demokratische Gestaltung der Welt zu glänzen und dem Rechtsextremismus entschlossen entgegenzutreten.

    Rimini Protokoll presented the production "Konferenz der Abwesenden" at the B.A.L.L. at Kampnagel. Annette Stiekele spoke to Daniel Wetzel, who, together with Stefan Kaegi and Helgard Haug, has been inviting audiences to exciting theatrical experiments for the last 20 years.

    Consulting

    The Fonds Darstellende Künste not only supports projects, but is also a service and consulting partner for independent artists, collectives and institutions. The office advises interested parties and artists on aspects of the application process as well as on structural and organizational issues beyond the scope of its own funding programs.

    The Fonds Darstellende Künste

    For over 30 years, the Fonds Darstellende Künste has been one of the six federal cultural promotion funds supporting the art and cultural landscape of the Federal Republic of Germany, with a special focus on promoting the independent performing arts.
